A couple. Years of experience. A new chapter in our lives.
We’re Sylvie & David.
For several years, through La Loge de Paulette, we’ve supported property owners and their guests in distinctive homes.
Welcoming guests, preparing homes, overseeing stays, coordinating service providers, handling the unexpected, paying attention to every detail…
Along the way, we’ve learned one thing above all:
a beautiful property isn’t just managed. It’s known.
Caring for a home also means knowing what matters to its owner
Every home has its own story, its own habits, its own particularities.
The temperature you like a room kept at.
How a particular system works.
The part of the garden you care about most.
The service provider you prefer.
The way you like to find your home when you arrive.
These can be small details.
But they’re exactly what makes a home truly feel like yours, even when you’re far away.
It’s this approach we now want to put at the heart of our project.
Why Charente-Maritime?
A genuine, shared love of the region
For us, Charente-Maritime isn’t just a place to set up a business.
It’s a region we’ve admired for a long time — its heritage, its stone villages, its light, its coastline, and above all a certain way of life.
We now plan to settle here for good.
But we don’t simply want to move.
We want to give this new chapter of our lives a professional purpose.
That’s how our private estate management project was born.
We're not looking for several properties
Our choice is deliberately different from how a traditional concierge service works.
We don’t want to take on more and more homes, keys and jobs.
We’re looking for a single home to settle at long-term.
A property with a separate dwelling that would let us live there independently, so we can be truly present on-site, day to day, while fully respecting the owner’s privacy.

A presence built over times
We don’t want to simply be the people you call when something goes wrong.
We want to know your home well enough to anticipate.
To know what’s normal.
To notice what isn’t.
To know your service providers, your habits and your expectations.
To be there when a tradesperson comes round.
To prepare for your arrival.
To watch over the property while you’re away.
And when you’re there, to know how to stay in the background.
Our role is to be present without being intrusive.
Our experience is hands-on
Our current experience has been built directly alongside owners and guests, in properties that demand rigour, organisation and attention.
It’s taught us to:
- prepare a home to a high standard;
- check its condition and that everything works properly;
- coordinate different service providers;
- handle the unexpected, quickly and calmly;
- anticipate what’s needed before an arrival;
- welcome and look after guests;
- keep communication with owners clear;
- care for a property as somewhere entrusted to us.
This experience is now the foundation of our project.
Our project didn’t come out of nowhere.
It’s the natural next step after several years spent doing this work, hands-on, in the field.
A relationship built on trust
Entrusting your second home to someone takes more than good references.
You need to be able to trust them.
Trust in the person holding the keys.
Trust in their discretion.
Trust in their judgement when something unexpected happens.
Trust that your home will be respected while you’re away.
That’s why we favour a direct, lasting relationship with the owner.

We’re not trying to become a large concierge company.
